TableScoop – Web Table Extractor privacy policy
TableScoop is a local-first Chrome extension. It has no accounts, analytics, advertising, telemetry, or remote service. Captured page content is not transmitted to Latent Builds or any third party.
Table contents are read only after you explicitly invoke capture on a normal HTTP or HTTPS webpage.
Data processed on your device
TableScoop does not intentionally read cookies, passwords, form inputs, browsing activity outside user-initiated captures, or content outside the selected table region.
- Text and accessible structure from the table or grid you select.
- Raw HTML for the selected table, used to re-parse capture options in the editor.
- The source URL, page title, domain, capture time, and table dimensions.
- Link URLs and image alt text inside the selected region when those settings are enabled.
Local storage and retention
This data is stored with chrome.storage.local. Old captures are removed automatically when the ten-capture limit is exceeded. You can delete individual captures and recipes, or use Clear all local data in Guide & Settings to delete everything and restore defaults. Uninstalling the extension also removes its local Chrome storage.
- Up to 10 recent captures, including captured content and source metadata.
- Saved capture recipes, including a domain, optional URL pattern, and element selectors.
- Capture and export settings.
Clipboard, downloads, and Google Sheets
- Copy actions write TSV, CSV, Markdown, or JSON to your system clipboard.
- CSV and XLSX actions create a local browser download; files are not uploaded.
- Open Google Sheets copies TSV locally and opens sheets.new. TableScoop does not send the table to Google; you decide whether to paste it.
Permissions and page access
TableScoop runs a lightweight listener on top-level HTTP and HTTPS pages. The listener remembers only the most recently right-clicked DOM element in memory so TableScoop can use it if you explicitly invoke a context-menu capture.
The listener does not save that target to local or remote storage, scan pages, or transmit page content. TableScoop reads table contents only after you explicitly invoke capture.
TableScoop uses Chrome activeTab and scripting permissions to load its capture code after a toolbar, keyboard, context-menu, or saved-recipe action.
Protected browser pages, extension pages, PDFs, local files, canvas-only tables, inaccessible cross-origin frames, and other protected content are unsupported.
Limited Use
TableScoop data is not sold, used for advertising or profiling, transferred for unrelated purposes, used for credit or lending decisions, or made available for human review. Data is used only on your device to provide the table-capture and export features you invoke.
