TableScoop – Web Table Extractor

web table extractorchrome extensionshipped

TableScoop is a local-first web table extractor for turning an HTML table into CSV, exporting a table to Excel, or copying a table to Google Sheets without the usual broken rows and stray formatting.

Point at an accessible table or grid, preview the structure, clean it in the editor, then download CSV or XLSX—or copy TSV, CSV, Markdown, or JSON. Captured data stays in your browser.

Features

  • Capture standard HTML tables, ARIA grids, and repeated div-based layouts.
  • Visual pointer selection plus a picker for pages with multiple tables.
  • Download CSV or type-aware Excel XLSX files.
  • Copy TSV for Google Sheets, CSV, Markdown, or JSON.
  • Preview, filter, sort, rename, edit, find and replace, delete, and undo.
  • Search up to 10 recent captures, save recipes, and append multiple pages.
  • Runs locally with no account, analytics, advertising, or remote service.

Known limitations

  • Works on normal HTTP and HTTPS webpages with accessible table or grid structure.
  • Chrome pages, extension pages, PDFs, local files, canvas-only tables, protected content, and inaccessible cross-origin frames are unsupported.
  • Some virtualized grids expose only the rows currently rendered by the page.

Why I built it

I kept pulling pricing tables, comparison grids, and research data into spreadsheets by hand. TableScoop is the utility I wanted: select the table, verify the structure, export clean data, and move on.
