ChatTuner - UI Customizer for ChatGPT privacy policy
ChatTuner is a local-first Chrome extension. It has no account, analytics, advertising, telemetry, cloud backend, or remote code. It does not send page content, settings, or usage information to Latent Builds or any third party.
ChatTuner accesses the structure and styles of chatgpt.com only to apply the visual settings you choose and display its control panel. It does not read, retain, or transmit the text of your conversations, prompts, or responses.
Data processed on your device
Website access stays inside your browser and is used only to change presentation. ChatTuner does not extract or inspect conversation text, account details, passwords, payment information, or browsing activity on other sites.
- The page structure and styles needed to identify ChatGPT’s sidebar, conversation column, messages, and composer.
- The numeric, boolean, and preset appearance settings you choose.
Chrome storage and retention
ChatTuner stores appearance preferences with chrome.storage.sync so they remain available between sessions and may sync to Chrome browsers where you are signed in and extension sync is enabled. Latent Builds does not receive these settings.
Settings remain in Chrome’s extension storage until you reset them, clear the extension’s data, or uninstall ChatTuner. Reset all restores every setting to its default. Chrome controls any synchronized copies under your Google account and Chrome settings.
Permissions and page access
The storage permission is used only to save and restore your appearance preferences.
Access to https://chatgpt.com/* is used only to render the ChatTuner panel and apply the visual changes you request on ChatGPT pages. ChatTuner does not run on other websites.
Network activity and third parties
ChatTuner does not make network requests, call external services, use analytics or advertising networks, or download executable code. ChatGPT itself is operated by OpenAI under its own terms and privacy policy; ChatTuner does not change how that service handles your conversations.
Opening this privacy or support page is a normal visit to latentbuilds.com. The extension does not attach conversation content or settings to that request.
Limited Use
Information available through Chrome APIs and the ChatGPT page is used only to provide ChatTuner’s single purpose: changing the visual presentation of ChatGPT at your direction.
Data is not sold, used for advertising or profiling, transferred for unrelated purposes, used for credit or lending decisions, or made available for human review. ChatTuner’s use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
