ChatGPT Power User
A focused Chrome extension that turns ChatGPT history into an organized, searchable workspace.
Business problem
Frequent ChatGPT users accumulate valuable conversations without practical ways to organize, search, or back them up.
Previous workflow
Finding prior work meant scrolling through the native chat list, relying on titles, or recreating research that already existed.
Constraints
- Work inside an interface controlled by a third party.
- Keep conversation indexes and organization data on the user’s device.
- Add power-user features without making the underlying product harder to use.
Approach
- Mapped the recurring tasks involved in finding and managing high-volume chat history.
- Designed the extension around organization, retrieval, and local ownership.
- Built the product as a focused layer on top of ChatGPT rather than a separate destination.
What was built
Folders, tags, favorites, a full chat library, bulk actions, local message search, and local backup tools.
AI’s role
The product supports AI-heavy knowledge work. Conversation indexing and organization remain on-device and are not sent to Latent Builds.
Morgan’s role
Product strategy, UX, extension architecture, and development.
